Thanks for the correct answers. Yes all of you are right. So here we go.
- Paneer – 1 cup
- Milk powder – ½ cup
- Milk – 3-4 spoons
- Ghee – 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda – 1 pinch
- All purpose flour – 1 spoon
- Corn flour – s required (for binding purpose only). Alternatively even all purpose flour can be used.
- Oil for deep frying
- Mixed dry fruits and sugar crystals for filling (optional)
- Desiccated coconut
- Sugar – for syrup – 1 ½ cups
Step 1: Make sugar syrup with sugar and water. Melt the sugar in about 1 cup of water and let the sugar syrup have a double string consistency
Step 2: Make a dough out of milk powder, ghee all purpose flour and milk. Add paneer to this mixture and knead well. (Do not over knead as it would make the jamoon very chewy). Keep this mixture in fridge for about ½ an hour.
Step 3: Check the mixture for the consistency. If required use the corn flour to get the binding.
Step 4: Make small jamoon out of this mixture. Add the dry fruits in between the jamoon and deep fry these jamoon.
Step 5: Add these into sugar syrup and soak it for about 4-6 hours. Once they soak the mixture and becomes soft roll them over desiccated coconut and serve them along J Yummy jamoons are ready to eat 😀
