Mushroom fritters

This is a quick snack to enjoy with tea. Can be served as a starter also.


  • Button mushroom – 10-15
  • Oats – 1/2 cup
  • Groundnut – 2 spoons
  • Rice flour – 1 spoon
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 spoon
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 spoon
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Turmeric – a pinch
  • Coconut milk
  • Green chillies – 1
  • Garam masala for taste

Step 1: Clean the button mushroom with turmeric and salt

Step 2: Grind oats, groundnut (roasted), dry garam masala . Add the dry masala powders (red chilli, garam masala) and make it like a thin paste with coconut milk. This adds taste and gives a fine glaze on the fritter.

Step 3: Dip the mushoom in the paste and shallow fry them till they are golden brown. Serve it hot.
